The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is enthusiastic about ending this year with a big Ole’ Texas bang! Therefore, our organization is soliciting funds for 2012 so that we may continue to serve those most in need within our community. View our “Wish List”; we are appreciatively accepting any amount of monetary donations, whether it be five dollars or five-thousand dollars.
Separate from our wish list you can help us by donating monies to buy the needed supplies to sponsor a child for our Back2School Program, which commences in July 2012. Are you really into the spirit of giving? If so, we would graciously appreciate donations toward our roof repair capital campaign. The total cost to replace our roof is $140,000, and we are thankful that the Catholic Foundation has generously granted us $40,000. This project is our highest priority and if we are required to use operating cash flow to pay for the roof repair, it will undoubtedly affect the Thrift Store’s ability to make distributions that assist the charitable programs of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
If you are unable to assist with a monetary donation, then please consider donating your gently used clothing, household goods or furniture to the Thrift Store. Proceeds from the Thrift Store help fund the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Remember all donations are tax-deductible. One more request, please be our advocate – help us spread the word that we have a clean, family friendly store that offers quality gently used merchandise at great prices.
